Shogun Bros Ballista MK-1 8200 DPI Pro Gaming Mouse

Quite like the look of it and how wide it is. I'll have to see how I get on with my G500 and if it doesnt suit my needs, I'll have another look at one of these.

Is that a left/right rocker switch on the wheel.

Looks nice, are the profiles on board memory. Or do you have to load each one before the game.

Tempting. I take it the mouse wheel is of a somewhat more sturdy construction than the various iterations of Roccat Kone? I guess I am just very heavy handed but even the revised version has not stood up well to my use, admittedly only the right rocker has given out at the moment this time around.

Quite like the look of this and my G5 laser is very old now.
Can the silver buttons on the thumb rest be used as normal buttons and not just for the sniping system?

looks very similar in layout to my (2) gigabyte m6900(s), just with more features. might have to pick one up for the laptop at some point. if/ when anyone gets one, I would be interested in screenies of the setup software, and your general opinions on the mouse as a whole

is their any need for 8200 dpi mouse?

Nope, I don't get why companies keep increasing the dpi. My mouse can do 5700 dpi, but I use 900, never any more because it becomes far too sensitive and hard to control.

I guess this is the only marketing companies can flaunt to make their product seem "Better" than the rest. All I need is on the fly sensitivity and thumb buttons, I couldn't care less if it has 10,000 dpi, because I'll never use it.

The whole idea for high resolution mice is you lower the speed in windows/games and leave the mouse at a high res, and your mouse is uber accurate then. Standard sensitivity/spee and high DPI is just silly.

Try it you will be shocked how good it is.

It's a decent size, not small. Let me take a pci against my G400.

I actually quite like the rubber finish, it feels nice on my soft, warm, gentle hands. LOL :)

I can't say I'm a fan of the bulge on the left hand side of the mouse. Send me one and I will test it for you :D

I've had such a crap couple of years trying to find a decent mouse I'll try anything.

I either break the buttons or they simple stop working, I've burnt through SIX in the past two years.

Those of you who have the sensitivity whacked up in Windows, but are using a low DPI are doing it wrong! :p
