Its the old moral panic. Anything new that people over the age of ~30 don't understand gets similiar treatment.

He's talking in general. There are exceptions to every rule. With 6 billion people on the planet, the number of exceptions to human rules is quite large
However gaming has been out for a while now, so we're talking (imo) about people over ~40 now.
