Short session game recommendations

My current go-to games for short chill-out sessions are:

Astroneer
Farming Simulator 19
American Truck Simulator (just do a short-haul route if low on time)
Stardew Valley

They're all quite relaxing and require little effort to enable you to have fun in a short time :)

Any battle royale? Hop in hop out. Apex is the current trend.

This is a good call, I think PUBG is a bit more ideal however as you could choose what map to play and have a slightly slower game with the big maps or a really fast aggressive short game on the smaller ones.

Thank you all for the suggestions. Some great games for me to try and a couple I already have that I haven't played yet! Added a list to the original post.

Just to add one of the reasons I like FTL is that by the end of a run I'm normally a nervous wreck/exhausted and don't want to play again so my terrible discipline isn't a factor.

Also for anyone else looking for some of that FTL feel I really enjoyed Dungeon of the Endless.

Rocket League, less than 10mins to find and complete a game, easy to learn but a lifetime to master.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is hard to beat for quick gaming session. Especially Star Fighter Assault which is great fun - cockpit view from a Tie Fighter anyone? Oh yes!
