Should I buy a pair of OCZ Vertex 2E Bigfoot 120GB in RAID0

Currently got a Q8300 with 6gb ram. Boot drive is a 1TB Western Digital caviar black and a 2TB drive for storage. I was thinking of getting some sandybridge goodness but it's probably pointless as I doubt I'd use all that power.

Most of my PC usage is just web surfing, Photoshop and the usual apps so I'm thinking of replacing my boot drive with an SSD or two for a boost in performance.

What is the general consensus on these? Would a pair in RAID0 be worth the extra money or should I just get a single drive? Are there any other alternatives I should be looking at? (new to the SSD thing so go easy on me)

to be fair unless your wanting extreme performance, save the cash and nab one. I have a singular 120GB Vertex2E in IDE Mode as my board does not support AHCI and it is still crazy fast.

One Vertex 3 would be cheaper than two Vertex 2's . Pretty much double the performance too if you have Sata 6Gb.

I have a single Vertex 2 as boot drive, not even Sata 6Gb and windows 7 boots in about 8 seconds (after post test)
