Should I buy MW3??

I am a die hard BF fan, but will also be getting MW3 but not at release prices. MW3 will be good for some mindless fragging and seeing as I skipped Black Op's, some new maps will make a change from MW2.

That's how I see the MW series too. I love the BF series for a more, well, battlefield experience but I enjoyed MW2 for a bit mindless shooting.

I'd like to pick up MW3 but funds are tight so I may well wait until I can get it on offer.

Well, I'm not paying £40 for something that is constantly repeated every year. If it was something radically new like BF3 is to BF2 then yes perhaps but it's not.

I like the COD games, as they are fun. But, there comes a point where you draw the line with your money and £40 is just that for something that is essentially the same as the last 3 they made.

I will buy it just for SP as I really enjoy that side of it, but not at £40. If you can find it cheaper like under £30 then perhaps it is worth it, but exactly how soon is that likely to happen?:(

Check my post #38 above, you can already get it for under £30. Registers on Steam too, which is one of the reasons I've not bought BF3.

I would be all over this game if the ranked servers were dedicated, why can't they just go back to the way it was in COD4? That game was amazing.

My mate played MW3 at Eurogamer, he said "I wish I could get that hour and a half of my life spent waiting in the queue back!"

Re-cycled garbage, no thank you.

Got it for £20 with some Tesco vouchers, me and my brother are paying £10 towards it so I can't really complain about it for £10.

Looking forward to the survivor mode more than multiplayer for some reason :p

They haven't updated the engine for years and the price keeps going up, milking it whilst they can it annoys the hell out of me.

The trouble is so many people will buy it at this inflated price it will allow them to do it again! £40 for a pc game? No. Plain and simple just no. There is absolutely no need for it other than grabbing the ££. Dev costs can't be very high considering they have changed nothing!
Then theres the monthly sub which I am sad to say will probably work for them because enough people will buy it then it will become something of the future again something I am not keen on.
Getting basic game ideas at a steeper cost and not much else in return (have they taken business ideas from Apple??).

Greed greed greed.

Too True

MW series used to be pushing the FPS game every time they released a new game making new and exciting changes.

Now its just the same old stuff nothin new.

They for some reson have decided to stick to this "customise" crap that seems to be the "in thing" at the moment....what they dont relise is that most people really dont give a shi whether they can facebook they mates while in game or find out how many pistal shots hit someones balls in a game..

its getting silly now how they using pointless sata as a selling tool" elite "good example.

people want a good game not a whole load of pointless and useless data and information, this is what the internet is for, and that at least is free not £40.

BF series really is pushing the whole FPS game genre now and i feel is leading the way with though love/hate engine, its still bloody good game with constantly new ideas.

MW3 is a exspansion pack, then add in a monthly fee you easly pushing £100 by the time you bought all the "map packs"

rant over, but im tired of paying for **** a group of pc modders can do for free if they let us have the mod tools, the greedy ********:D

We all know the review sites will make it out to be amazing tho, its as if they are paid to do so, which wouldn't surprise me.
If it gets better than bf3 I will be so annoyed.

They are definitely paid. Even when I used to work for GAME ten years ago they were paid for.
