Howdy,

Should I colour code my side trim/bump strips, plus front and back?

The car is silver, so I am just wondering if the current black line makes a nice break point in the lines. With it being all silver - would that be too much? I know that >2001 e39's have colour coded trim.

Whadda u reckon?

Here is a speedy comp to visualize the change.

I prefer them colour coded, I know Fox doesnt though!

I would just do what you like Pinter.

Yep, on a silver car like that, the black does ads definition, as others have suggested.

id say no... Silver with black strips looks good..... colour coded looks weird...

but its all about personal preference.

Leave as is, chances are, unless you get a very good job done, it'll look pap & start to flake off soon anyway!

The black lines "break it up" nicely imo. - I know what I mean! :o :D ;)

Thanks guys, I think I will leave them black.

Probably too much hassle to get the rubber stuff painted anyways.

Cheers.

It depends.

Are you sticking with the stock bumpers, or perhaps adding an Alpina splitter? Yes, colour code.

Are you fitting Sport/M5 bumpers? Then no, do not colour code, becuase genuine Sport models do not have colour coded bumpstrips, only post-facelift SE models do.

Not going to colour code now. I keep seeing silver 5's with sports bumpers round here - I sooooo need sports bumpers :-)
