Should I get an E6320 and clock to E6750?

Hi,

I was thinking of buying an E6320, instead of an E6750. Both have the same cache, but I believe the latter has something else (forgot what it is) that allows it to be clocked to higher speeds than the more expensive E6700.

So, should I get an E6320, an E6750 or somewhere in between (like an E6550)?

My specs are:

Antec Nine Hundred
OCZ StealthXStream 600w Silent SLI Ready ATX2
Abit IP35
Western Digital Caviar SE16 500GB 5000AAKS 16MB
G.Skill 2GB DDR2 NQ PC2-6400 (2x1GB) CAS5
Core2Duo (E6750)
Leadtek GF 640MB GTS
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE 7.1 OEM
Samsung SH-S183ABEBN
Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound
Vista Home Premium

And Samsung 20in screen.

So what do you reckon?

Thanks.

PS: then there's the matter of cooling. Will the stock fan do for overclocking around 3GHz, or should I grab a special fan/heatsink?

on cooling, stock fan with the 6750 was a big suprise for me, at 3.2 temps never went over 61c, 10 degrees lower @ full load with a scythe.
The artic pro a good alternative to the stock cooler, forgot the noctua( good cooler) but you will have a very tight fit with it on the abit 35.
loads have the ultra extreme as well with that board grt results.

Your mobo supports the 1333fsb strap, not better going with a 6750, as it runs 1333fsb

TBH all the C2D's overclock well, just some more than others. The extra cache doesnt really make a lot of difference especially in games so why not just get a rather cheap E2160 which will comfortably OC to 2.8GHz and more.
