Should I get another 780?

At least on the maximus VI extreme, you'll have better slot spacing than my formula which will help a lot with air cooled cards.

True, I need to check which slot to put the second one in actually - never gone SLI before

I think I need to put it in the brown PCI-E slot (2 slots below top one).

Ahh, i thought on the extreme you could use slots 1 + 3 in dual sli? Spacing on the formula isnt too bad, bit tighter than id have liked though as ill be adding another wf 780. Had a 15c temp difference when using wf 670's.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's slots 1 and 3.

You should be fine for spacing with the formula, 780s don't get too hot anyway - and with a non-reference cooler you'll be even better off.

Is there a mobo under that CPU cooler Setter? :p That thing is huge.
There is indeed, shame too as the formula is a very nice looking peice of kit, it also blocks the only useable pcie slot for my audio card if going sli. The cooler is an Alpenfohn k2 and even it struggles with this toaster of a chip i have. It's in serious need of delidding.

Me either, at 4.5ghz in p95 small fft this cpu will hit 94c in seconds. This is despite three mounts of the cooler using liquid ultra paste and dual 1900 rpm fans. It would probably hit the temp limit now with p95 as ive had to up vcore a bit recently due to stability issues. So not a great chip for temps, but the imc on it is pretty ok. Managed to get my ram from 2400mhz 2T to 2600mhz 1T. Delidding would probably drop 10-20c of temps.

1.267 in bios. Temp wise it's grand for gaming and benching. Seeing a max of 67c in games, 74c running intensive benchmarks like rog real bench, intel xtu, cinebench etc.
