Should I get MW1 or MW2? [Steam Sale]

As you may have already noticed MW1 and MW2 are 50% off on Steam, so I was wondering which one is better for gameplay.
The last COD I played was World at War due to the amount of servers it had so which one currently has the most servers and which is best for both campaign and online gameplay?

I'd get them both if I could but I'm on a tight budget this week

They're as cheap as chips and I've completed BC2... It's another game to play with my flat mates over LAN too.

I've went for Modern Warfare 1 guys since it still has about 11,000 dedicated servers. I gave MW2 a look on a mates PC and it struggles to find me a team deathmatch under 100ms ping. I mean WTF?

It seems a little bit more realistic too...

Indeed there is, unfortunately you have to have Steam closed down to play or you're in for a permaban...

I shall also be getting Battlefield 3, I don't feel I should get MW3, I haven't played MW2 or Black ops... It's too recent, they bring one out every November.
