i have black dragon giel 4 gb memory atm with my quad 6700 and 4780 , should i upgrade to 8 gb as prices are so cheap , or just keep my 4 gb moduels ie 4 x 1 , instead of some new 4 x2 ? thanks gaming and running windows vista/7

Just keep your 4x1Gb sticks. You won't see any significant performance benefit with 8Gb for "gaming and running windows vista/7".

I went from a steady 4 gig to 8 gig. Was it worth the cost, hell yes, but did i see any real improvement, not really !!

Ive done it and notice the differance however i use VM quite abit now

Yeah if you use VM a lot then it's definitely worth it at current prices.

No keep it unless you use vm, there will be no gain, what you have is good kit!
