Hi Guys

Got the XPS in sig a few weeks back and although its a nice bit of kit the build quality and feel isn't up to much imo ... But I have used a firends MBP and its so nice to type with and use in general, should have got the MBP to start with :(

Debating selling it off and going for a MBP (MB470B/A) which I can get with some discount from JL's for £1190 :)

Is there any up and coming price drops expected soon?

Also whats the performance like on the NVIDIA GeForce 9600M 256mb cards for source and alike?

OK well I thought it worth a post just on the off!

Whats the 9600M performance like compared to the 8600GT? Which is what I have now? Can I expect a boost or similar performance?

Damn it, oh well its so cheap for 4gb off of OcUK its by no means a show stopper...

Can't wait to get my hands on the laptop tomorrow.... :D

Nah I purchased my through work from a supplier, get some discount and work cover the VAT for me :D

Just need to go and see them and collect it today, will get some pic's up too once I have set it up. I'm a switcher so really looking forward to using this after spending lots of time with XP and Vista (x64)

Can't wait...

Can't wait for the backlit KB as I tend to surf and send mails whilst lasying in bed in the evening (not good for sleep I know) so having the light off will make the missus happy :D

The screen on the Unibody is amazing! The LED backlit display really makes a big difference! So much brighter!

Well got home and unboxed the new MBP!!

I'm so pleased with it, the keyboard is a pleasure to use, the screen is stunning, my work (Lenovo T60P) laptop screen look absolutely terrible after using this for 5 minutes, even flicking through facebook pictures is a real eye opener.......lol

Trackpad scrolling etc is smooth as you like...

I can see me roasting windows when at home from now on....very very happy

Also get Perian and Flip4Mac.

Utorrent fly's on my Vista laptop 1.2mb per sec

Its poor on Transmission? Is the utorrent version better for the mac?
 
Well just a quick note so say I'm loving my new MBP - Will upgrade the ram in the new year but it's such a nice bit of kit to use, OSX is dreamy....!!!! Everything works perfectly and smooth as anything.....

One very happy (switching) chappy!!!!!
