Should I keep or return these trainers

Hi, Trainers question

I recently bought a pair of new trainers as my current ones are starting to become end of life.

I notice, there is a cut on the circled area. I cant decide if i should just keep it or return. I am not a shoe expert but last thing i want the area sucking up water.

It doesnt, just a slice in one of the circles and i dont know if will affect durability. In longer run, it may wear down quicker than the other parts of the shoe

I’d be more worried about the holes in the upper part of the trainer! You can see the two holes at the bottom of the photo!

It's just a small nick, once you wear them the same is going to happen unless you only walk on grass.

They'll wear down after a shortish distance and you won't even be able to tell the nick is there.
