I am replacing my G.Skill 2GB DDR2 LA PC2-5400 with 2GB of Corsair Twinx/XMS2-6400C4 tomorrow.
I have overclocked a bit with it running at 2840MHz.
Should i take it back to stock settings before i put the new stuff in?
thanks

There's no real need if you're confident the new RAM is capable of running at your current clocks/volts.

Thanks for reply,
This is what ive been running at with vcore at 1.4 and ram at 2v it never goes above 50c at full load.
I havent been able to get above 320x9 without it rebooting with sp2004, Do you think the new ram will let me go further?

You need to isolate your ram and test it to see if it it that thats failing.

im not familier with core2 but id imagine you can drop the cpu multi to lower the cu freq but keep the ram clock. test with memtest 86 any your away

Ive ran memtest no errors, its my first attempt at over clocking and i find it quite hard to get my head round , ive probably got something in the bios wrong.
I think i mabye made a bad choice with the mobo.

what are you using to read temps? if your not using TAT expect that load temp to rise a little, my 2.9 conroe full load @ 58*c but asus probe was saying it was 44 :p

(TAT= intel thermal analysis tool)
