2 coolers? whats that about?

My main worry is that my current hard drives wont be compatible with my new system, as i think that are just standard hardrives that are about 2-4 years old and use the old long ribbon type cables? i think this is the slow old way of connecting hard drives?

Also worried about powering it all on with my Qtec PSU!

I just realised what i have odne about the 2 cooler!! D'OH!

Id be more concerned about using a Q-Tec PSU than building it. I think i can speak for everyone when i say they are ***** !

Do it! it is fun and scary - but if you get stuck at all then get posting here - or ring someone up (hay your always welcome to ring me! lol) but definitely worth doing it yourself - other wise usually other people will try and take over and take the fun out of it.. well in my experience.. lol thankfully i started building computers with old Pentium mx's not a conroe rig so it was *slightly* less risky but hay :P

good luck

Well strip the fans outta the Qtec first :) waste not want not and you just never know when you could be looking one.

dont even think about stripping the fans out of the Qtec .PSUs hold there charge even when there turned off .you could still get a nasty shock from opening it .

what PSU should i get then, i dont really want to spend over £70! if possible.
if i order that today/ tomorrow i can start building my system next monday.

Stripped out 5 so far and the only shock Ive had so far is the quality of glue they use to hold the plugs attached ... Fair point though ... disconnect and let it sit for say a day then chuck the neighbours cat at it and if it runs away .. remove fans :D

takes more than a day for it to discharge.. if your willing to take the risk you might as well do it after 10seconds of it being off :) If you see a capacitor the size of your thumb roughly.. please for the love of god don't short your fingers across its legs :o

going to go for the OCZ Modstream PSU i think, its cheaper than the corsair, but still a good brand from what i hear, order tomorrow hopefully get monday ready for build!

Tempted to get the HD thats on week only offer, seems cheap, is it a good deal?

Yes go for it mate .i have one myself along with a raptor and its not far off the speed of the raptor .
;)

speaking of q-tecs and dismantling them... i chucked mine in a full bath to discharge it :D fun..... (well, not really, nothing much happened :/)
