I've just moved back to uni, but I won't be able to bring it to uni this year, so its just going to be gathering dust at home untill the summer.
So, I had the thought. Since technology is moving so quickly, prices drop quite quickly, so would it be worth my time selling my PC now, then building another one in summer with the money, hopefully getting higher specs than what I currently have, for the same ammount of cash?
And if there's a chance, could I have a rough idea of how much this would go for? I would try the MM but I can't see it yet :(

E6600 overclocked to 2.54ghz, room for more. Stock heatsink. Currently £145 new
Asus P5B motherboard. Not sold by ocuk, deluxe is b grade for £70
2x1Gb GEIL PC6400. Currently £57
X1950XT (This is better than the pro?) PCI-E. Not sure of speeds off the top of my head. Around £100
DVDRW drive - £18
x-fi Extreme gamer (I think) Curently £50
Antec 900 case - £75
Enermax liberty 620W - £100

If all bought new would be about £550
I'd keep the hard drives rather than selling them, and I think thats everything.

How easy would it be to sell this system? Would a cetrain auction site be the place to go? What are the requirements to get into the MM?
I assume I'd be looking for £450-500 for the parts. Given 7 months, do you think I'll be able to get a better computer for that money (plus maybe a bit more)?

Thanks :)

Ok. Do you think I'd be able to get more by selling it as a complete system, or selling everything seperately?

Also, would £500 be a good starting price for an auction?

I would go to the MM, but I can't see it, and I'm not sure what the requirements are for it.

Oh, says 250 in the FAQ Azza linked ;)

Anyhow, I think that if its should be sold asap for the best value, then MM is out :(
