Should I send this mouse back?

At christmas i bought myself a steelseries Ikari Optical mouse from overclockers UK and it seems to have developed a fault. On occasions. when i click it will double click when using either mouse button. Ive tried changing the double click settings in the control panel and couldnt remember it doing it about a month ago. It seems to be discontinued at overclockers UK so could I send it back or has anyone got a fix i could try?

The double clicking on a single click is usually due to a problem with the switch. This has happened to a few of my Logitech mice. Replacement switches are easy to come by - you could use a donor mouse. Requires around 1-2 minutes of solder work. This might not be the case though if it happens with either mouse button.

If its under warranty however you might as well send it back. You might to test it on another PC first.

Sorry to bump this thread but did you send this back in the end? Same annoying fault has developed with mine also which I bought from OCUK, so may have to send that back too.
