Should I trade in a 360 for a Wii

Go to a friends house and play on it, its a great fun console but sadly lacks the innovative games to gowith the innovative console, their is quite a few good games out now and are certainly worth getting.

As i usualy say, Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Mario Galaxy, No More Heroes, Metroid Prime 3, Resident Evil 4, Zack and Wiki, Zelda, Force unleashed, paper mario, Trauma Centre, Rayman Raving rabbids 1 & 2, DK Jet race, Final Fantasy.

their should be a load more, but those are the best of the lot, albeit a few are not out for a month or two. definetly worth a butchers. just think though, will you miss anything on the 360, if not then id trade it in or sell it depending which has a higher value.

I dont have a friend who got one so cant borrow one... What on the 360 i would miss???? I dont think i miss anything of it to be honest but tell me if you would miss anything on a 360. I very much prefer my PS3 for top games

to be honest, the best feature i get out of my 360 is co-op mode, playing Halo 3, Gears of war, Crackdown are very fun when playing with my mates. but if you are not getting any joy out of co-op/online or sp mode then theirs another reason.

2008 exclusives i can think of are Ninja gaiden 2, Banjo and Kazooie (i think), rainbow six vegas 2, gears of war 2, Too human, Golden axe, Viking : battle for asgard, fable 2.

cant think of any more of the top of my head.

If you don't play the 360, you won't play the Wii either

I haven't touched mine in months, Mario Galaxy got it the first play since the previous Christmas, but that only lasted a week

Until Smash Brothers and Mario Kart come out, it's a pretty useless bit of kit

Another thought.... Does the missus play games at all? Would you like to spend some "quality time" playing on the Wii with her? She'll most likely find something that grabs her interest, after all the console is designed for casual gamers such as women and children - allegedly.

You could score some brownie points by getting the Wii.

I personally own a Wii and 360. I think either a 360/PS3 + Wii is a great combo to have rather then PS3 + 360. If your 360 is not getting your attention then i can recommend the wii. Personally i would flog the PS3 and keep the 360 but people like different things :)

If you aren't using the 360, ditch it, the Wii will bring a new experience that will compliment your PS3

I think for a lot of people a next gen console + a Wii is a good combo..

Hmmmm...... see what today do ha ha i just cant make my mind up to be honest but i dont want to have 3 game machine and the mrs wont allowed that. But am i right that most of the games that comes out on the 360 are out on the PS3? But I dont think i would part with the PS3 as i use it for Blu Ray and and find most games for it are to my liking

It's not that complicated a decision unless you do actually, in your heart of hearts, want to keep the 360. You'll get your HD fix from the PS3, it's also an excellent DVD/Blu Ray player.

If you think you'll get more fun out of the Wii, which is entirely possible despite what some say, then trade. There are plenty of titles to get that I've not got round to before even Mario Kart and Smash Bros come out (No More Heroes, Battalion Wars II and Zack and Wiki), so I think the shortage of games is not such an issue as it once was when people who dislike the Wii sold theirs.

That's a very good point. It'd be interesting to know at what point the people who shout, "Bah, I sold mine cause it was carp" actually sold their Wiis? What games were available at that time, and what games had they played before making their decision?

There was admittedly a period where there were only a few decent games available for it, and once you'd played Wii Sports, Zelda and Rayman, then the others were pretty poor (I'm looking at you, Far Cry). However, things have definitely improved now and there are a lot of great games out now with 2 AAA titles being released imminently.

I'm not saying that people aren't entitled to their opinions, just that things have changed a lot compared with when their opinion was formed things. Not that this is limited to the Wii, of course. My opinion of the PS3 has changed dramatically since they reduced the price and the number of games released has increased... as has my opinion of the 360 since a few people I know have experienced reliability issues despite taking very good care of their consoles.

Hmph, I'm waffling now.... think it's time to stop.

The Wii, unfortunately, has suffered from lots of shovelware. Quite why this means you shouldn't buy one I don't know, however, as there's lots of titles aside from the pap to keep anyone entertained. It has 2 of the best games I've played in a long while on it (Mario and Metroid) and of course Zelda (which to me was just another great installment).

Importantly (I'm thinking especially Metroid), the controls have helped to make the game more controllable/interesting/fun/intuitive too. Perfectly complements a 360 or PS3 if you can afford it.
