Should I upgrade after 7 & half year?

So at the moment I have a 'Acer Predator XB252Qbmiprzx 25 1920x1080 TN G-Sync 240Hz Gaming Widescreen LED Monitor' which I bought from OcUK 7 & half years ago.

Is it now worth upgrading? Ideally would like something 1440p and 240ghz+. Oh and I'm using a 4080 super GPU.

Depends on your use & what bothers you imo.

Personally, I'd never use a TN panel screen again (and other than a couple of the older screens I've come across at work, I haven't in >10 years). Short of pro gaming, I just don't see the point over a fast IPS/VA. Additionally, 1920x1080 is a low resolution in my books, especially for a 25" screen. <24" I could accept it, but any more than that, I'd want 2560x1440 minimum.

Like a lot of things, there's never a perfect time to upgrade. Tech is generally getting cheaper, but will continue to do so, or newer, better/cheaper tech will come in. Essentially if you want 1440p (and I think it'd be a big upgrade), then go for it.

The monitor is THE most important link in the chain. OLED (and HDR) and nothing else. Once you try it you just know.

What's the exact requirement for 240hz?

I refer you to this graph, showing the diminishing returns of fps (one can use this as an analogue for hz in this case) against milliseconds per frame:

Thanks for all the feedback, everyone! I've spent a little time looking and decided im going for an oled. Picked this one out on OcUK site.

My only concern is DP 1.4 not being able to reach 240hz?

Now you're on the right track.

Personally speaking I can't game on such a tiny screen these days so I'd strongly consider going bigger if you can. And also consider ultrawide if you haven't already.
