if i go for the i7 way will i notice a big difference performance in gaming and everyday tasks and 3d work to be worth the extra money

i dont think im gonna bother with a new graphics until the new dx11 drop in price so im gonna get 4870 if thats a good idea

Depends, dont think you will see much diffrence, you will need to change graphics card to see a major diffrence in games. What do you have your q6600 clocked at? May be some more RAM also would help.

3 ghz my q6600 was gonna push it further if i keep with it and yeah im gonna get a new graphics card probily 4870 this week

if your current mobo is broke, then id say go for it, and you may as well go for the i7 system, imo, if its working fine Id sit tight as long as you can, save the cash

yeah i wanna save money but it might be better investment as an i7 system will be around for a long time and i hate spending money lol and is there q6600 gonna have any problems with games in the next year or so

If you have the cash then go for the i7, should last a good 3-4 years

i dont think there is enough gains to go for the i7 but i dont want my games to be bottlenecked
