Should i upgrade??

Good afternoon,
I have recently recieved some money through for christmas and i am looking to spend it on my pc or if not something else...
I currently have:
Phenom 9950
XFX 8300
4gb OCZ DDR2
640gb WD
250GB Seagate
Thermaltake TR2 550w

Now i am thinking of getting a am3 pc but i am unsure as to how much difference i would see from my pc to a a am3 one,
I only convert dvds to .avi then back onto dvds and also general office use.

I can't see any reason to. If it works then I would stick with it unless you want to convert your DVDs a little faster but not much faster in the grand scheme of things.

I suspect the missus has a n eye on something else....!
