Should i upgrade?

Hi guys,

I currently have a ATI HD4850 512mb, i am wishing to upgrade budget is £200 tops, i was looking at this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=GX-166-XF

I am struggling to find a comparison thats helpful there are lots of mixed reviews as to if its any better than my current card - is this worth the upgrade?

My 4850 doesnt quite cut Mafia 2 as much as i'd like it.

Any suggestions would be great.

I am currently running resolution at 1920x1080 however i have been trying lower resolutions but not a great deal in effect to performance - don't get me wrong its playable but it just doesnt quite seem to be as smooth as i'd like it.

I have a Q8300 with 8gb ram

For that budget, this is exactly what you want. This review shows how it does against a 4850 in a range of games.

If you want to spend £200 then the Asus460GTX CU TOP beats the 5850 and gets up to 5870 performance. sadly ocuk dont have it but it can be found elsewhere for around £190.

found it for ( i think ) £168 - am i allowed to post a link or is it against forum policy to mention other companies?

Does it matter that the video memory is less on the card than the 5850?

The link keeps breaking it seems it only keeps the session to the offer open for so long with the same URL
