currently got a ASUS Geforce GT 740,thinking about getting a Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB Boost Graphics Card, will i see a big improvement?

You'll see an improvement, but you're not going to suddenly be playing the latest demanding games at 1080p/60fps.

I'd get a new monitor first, but yes, to answer your question, you should see a massive boost by going to a 750ti.

The 750Ti is about twice as fast, the GT740 really is crap value for money. 50% performance, for 80% of the price.
