Should I use Linux for gaming?

I find that games with an OpenGL path work very well under Wine.

DirectX ones are a mixed bag, I normally get a steep performance loss (33-50% vs W7) but I might be able to get some of that back with Winetricks and/or Staging.

I've also had some success with CSMT.
 
ScummVM works well on linux, but I think a GTX 770 may be a bit wasted on that! :D

You could try using wine, but I've never tried that for gaming.
