Got the free upgrade icon popping up on every startup, been wondering is it time for me to try it. Im very happy with windows 7, but im wondering is windows 10 alright now.
How does the current windows 10 drivers work then, will it be replaced with windows 10 versions automatically.
Also I upgrade my pc a lot and the discs that come with my motherboard is windows 10 will I have to download windows 10 drivers onto a usb for future upgrades?
Finally will I need to buy windows 10 retail as I the upgrade version can only be used once?

I use the windows 8.1 drivers for my mobo as they don't have any 10 ones due to the age of it and they work fine.

if you are doing a upgrade I didn't have to install any new drivers apart from sound which didn't work after the upgrade.

the upgrade is fine as long as you keep it on the same PC, you can do a clean OS install etc without any issues. the new W10 ISO allows you to do a clean install using a windows 7 key rather than having to do the upgrade from a previous OS first.

you get 30 days once upgraded to W10 to roll back to your previous OS before it removes the old folders etc so you can give it a try and if you don't like it go back to W7. if its after the 30 days you will need to do a clean install of W7 to go back to your previous OS.
