Should I wait before upgrading?...

Hey all,

I know about the problems with the hard drive shortages etc. and with hard drive prices the way they are, I'm feeling reluctant to upgrade.

I want upgrade from my 2x1TB setup to a 2x2TB setup, but I was wondering if I should wait until the prices go down (assuming they'll go down?).

What are your thoughts?

Tell me about it.
Urgently need an HDD to get a second system going- but I'm not paying a ton for 1TB. A few months ago I got two Samsung 1TBs for sixty quid each. The prices have nearly doubled now.
Should only be a blip-they must be working on fixing the supply chains (very slowly, to keep the prices high for a while longer)- hold on a few more months and it'll probably get a lot better...

have a look around at competitors, you may find that things are cheaper than you think.

I found a 2TB at £94.99 - Is that any good? Waiting wouldn't be a problem if you think prices could drop considerably...

Wondered what all the fuss was about. After checking my order from Oct 11, My sammy F3 1TB has gone from £45 to £100..jezzus.

I'd wait.
