Hi.

I'm looking at buying the following in the near future\now for my PC but I'm trying to decide if I should wait until January to get better deals.

Case (CM Storm Trooper)
AM3+ mobo
DDR3 16 GB RAM
Cooler Fan
SSD card

Do you think I'm better off waiting?

Thanks for any help.

Maybe at some point .......

I got a Radeon 7850 2GB to replace my old Radeon 4850 recently.

I want to get a board with 2 PCIe slots so I can go crossfire in the future at some point.

Glad to hear it about the case, it looks like a beast.

If you have the cash I'd get them now, especially the SSD. SSD prices are currently increasing & are unlikely to drop shortly after Xmas. I'd keep an eye on OCUK's weekly offers too.

Rumour is that there was going to be a global shortage on NAND memory soon. Not helped by the growing demand for NAND because of smartphones.

The Crucial M4 I bought at the end of August has gone up in price £10. A 12.5% increase in price.

So buy now, and don't regret later.

OP: Computer components never go into 'Jan sales'. If they do it is some excess stock and/or the part is about to be superceeded. For example the latest gen graphics cards will heavily drop in price just before the new ones come out.
