Sorry, I'm new to this SSD stuff so i don't really know...

I took a picture of the bois for you, I don't know if you can tell from here

As you can see the SSD is plugged into 3_0, i'll have to get the book out to see if thats an intel port

Also if I change the "SATA MODE" (highlighted one) to ACHI, the system blue screens

You need to change SATA Mode from IDE to AHCI where it's highlighted in the picture.

But you can't just do that otherwise your system won't boot.

You need to apply the fix here first.

So first make the changes in the link, then restart your PC and go straight into the BIOS, change the SATA mode to AHCI, save the changes and the PC will start again.

Try your benchmark again after you've done that.

According to the motherboard manual, you're using an Intel port, which is good.

The bad news is that your Intel ports are in IDE compatibility mode. You need to change the "SATA Mode" option to AHCI. However, you've already installed Windows so if you do this, you'll be unable to boot into Windows. You need to perform a registry edit before changing to AHCI mode, like this:

1. Exit all Windows-based programs.
2. Click Start, type regedit in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
3. If you receive the User Account Control dialog box, click Continue.
4. Locate and then click one of the following registry subkeys:

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Msahci"
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\IastorV"
5. In the right pane, right-click Start in the Name column, and then click Modify.
6. In the Value data box, type 0, and then click OK.
7. On the File menu, click Exit to close Registry Editor.
8. Shut down your PC and boot into the BIOS.
9. Change your SATA controller to AHCI mode.
10. Reboot into Windows.

I'd already preformed Surveyor's fix before I seen your post DragonQ
