Should These Two Dimms Be OK Together

I have just bought some new memory off eBay for my ASRock 939NF4G. Ive been running 1Gb for the past 6 months or so, and decided to upgrade and take advantage of dual channel via another 1Gb stick. I thought I was being very careful to get something which would be compatible.

My original memory is this;

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI..../search.dll?from=R40&satitle=6849173881&fvi=1

And this is what I have just bought;

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....earch.dll?from=R40&satitle=130023681423&fvi=1

When I stick the new memory in, the PC wont boot, and I dont even get a signal to the monitor. I have tried putting it in all 3 of the free slots, but with the same result.

I must admit that as yet I have not tried it on its own to check if it is totally faulty.

Can anyone see any reason why these two wouldnt work together?

Thanks.

Well first off you should'nt post any links to ebay, read the Forum rules

But in answer to your question, the second stick you bought is high density ram and not compatible with most motherboards and almost certainly won't run with your first low density stick. Ebay is awash with poor quality ram, stick to proper retailers when it comes to buying it online

Oh dear...bad thing to post links to competitors - btw the RAM you purchased is pretty poor in terms of money spent and what you get - if you want real value for money, check out OcUK Value RAM section - that is way better :)

I used to use TwinMos, but it died, and I had to upgrade my RAM - I have not had the best of experience with that brand :(

I didnt think it would be a problem posting the link since both auctions had ended and it was specific to my question. Anyway, needless to say I'll be sticking both sticks back on Ebay, and buying two new ones from OC......so they did get some business out of it despite my links :)
