Should we eradicate Mosquitos?

On the flip side aren't mosquitos the perfect inoculation delivery vehicle?

If we can make them deliver vaccinations for various diseases it would be cheaper than injections and by wiping them out we are stopping them from being used this way in the future...

Hardly perfect, else malaria would be much more prevalent than it is already.

Not only that but one megalomaniac lab creating a deadly pathogen and releasing a few mosquitos with it, when people are waiting for them to come bite them and make them better with inoculations so even encouraging them to deliver life-saving meds...

you would have to have the "vaccine" be alive and breeding in the mosquito and humans which wouldn't make it so much a vaccinbe but just a new virus to spread and mutate

as harsh as it sounds...there are too many people

there has to be some sort of natural population control

I remember reading somewhere that not ALL mosquito's can transport malaria (not sure about Zika) and that some specific genetics can make it impossible for them to become a carrier. I believe they are currently in the process of selectively breeding or altering them (by injecting humans with a specific drug that when mosquito's bite them they then contract and thus makes them less able to carry)

If this is successful, surely that would be the most humane way to wipe out malaria whilst still making minimal changes to the ecosystem as it would not affect the existence of mosquito's or their population but only the fact that they are carriers of these sicknesses.

Fika makes broken people.

Malaria killed nearly half a million people last year.

Well this is really more about zika than malaria (my dad had malaria for a fun fact)but half a million people is nothing, thats just a little over a third of the deaths caused by road accidents each year
