Show off something

Some interesting bedtime reading.

18v is fine, my 14.4v makitas will sink a 4" screw into softwood without breaking a sweat. If I need to do any heavy drilling then I use a corded drill. I.e masonry drilling which requires SDS, rather than the crappy percussion hammer action.

I've used the 24v and 36v stuff and it just adds extra weight and make the tool no more useful IMO.

The one on the left is about 6 years old and still going strong.

I have to say I prefer the angle of the handle in relation to the body on the Makitas, but this might just be bacause I'm used to that. I'll have to give it a good tryout tomorrow after the bats are charged.

Wow. Nice collection. Do you have any more detail on it?
It's a mix of stuff I like the look of and a few main themes:

- Every race McLaren since 1988 (except a couple of one offs which were never modelled)
- Every Le Mans winner since 1949
- Every Le Mans Audi since 1999 (bar a few 2009/10 cars which have been ordered but not delivered
- Most of the Group C Le Mans Jaguars - that reminds me, must go and have another look for the one XJR/9 I'm missing!
- A fair chunk of Williams grand prix cars, still missing probably a dozen of these.

I love the gulf and renault colours.

Always have :)

Nice extensive collection you have there.

How long has it taken you?

Oooh, just noticed you stay in greenock. You HAVE to let me come play with your cars! ;)

:p
