Looks like one of the older Universal Docks.

One thing that has ALWAYS annoyed me about the docks is that you can't control the iPod menu's with the remote. Mmnnnggghhhhh.

It's not. Edges are too curved and it doesn't have a green LED, plus the iPhone is in a protective case. I'd guess it partners up with the case.

I've got one somewhere, picked it up for £2 when Woolies was closing down. Remote support doesn't work on my 3rd Gen iPod but at at price who cares!
