Here is my setup

Dell 2001FP on the left hooked up to my Win7 machine under the desk
Samsun SyncMaster 2494HS on the right, now connected to my MBP that is over on the left of the desk, using a standard PC keyboard and mouse with the MBP at the moment.

The little black keyboard is a USB with trackball hooked up to the Win7 machine.

So far this is an experiment to use my MBP as my primary machine rather than just a laptop, so far so good, have sorted most things out I think.

I will eventually get rid of the Dell and but the MBP on the stand and have the Win7 machine hooked up to the VGA input on the Samsung monitor

Also ignore the dust :)

Just a few pictures of my shiney new MBP 13" 2010 2.4ghz :D

Got this for £800 brand new sealed off the bay! Sold my iMac 24" 2.66ghz as I prefer to have the laptop downstairs so I can catch tv and browse... I can't put it down at the moment, going to order a Speck satin black case Monday ...

They're AV30s, I was going to go with the AV40s but I don't tend to do a lot of high volume listening so I didn't really need the larger speakers, the 30s are ideal for an apartment situation.

The overall sound quality is generally quite good if a little flat, i tend to find myself tweaking a software eq slightly to get the sound that I'm after, usually a slight bump to the higher and lower frequencies, however saying that they are enjoyable to listen to, the bass drops off a little at higher volumes.

They come with full size rubber pads to sit on however I'm not sure how other solutions would benefit them acoustically, I'd say try them out before buying any extras.

Overall I'm very happy with them, although if volume isn't an issue i'd perhaps say to plump for the AV40s. :)

iPad is out of photo, only sync with the computer, don't charge with it. iPhone is also out too, but doesn't really matter :p

Still need a new desk :/

That a speck case? I'm after a satin black but can't get one for the right price.....

Yeah I bought it for £35 delivered, which is still a bit steep I guess. I really needed to get something to protect the underside of the macbook when I'm out though, so this fits the bill perfectly. The feel and quality is great and it doesn't scratch your macbook when installing despite what some review say. I know a popular online store are doing it for £30 delivered, but you'll have to wait a bit for it to be in stock.

Ordered a carry case for it as well for maximum protection :)

It's a Black Incase sleeve bag for £25 delivered. Really didn't want to pay much more than £30 as money is pretty tight after all this expense :p Seemed a good deal anyways, and if it isn't up to much I can just put it back on the bay.
