Careful with these cases guys - They don't seem to hold the dock screws correctly. Mine dropped out of my pocket onto carpet and the two screws just popped straight out.
 
Just got my replacement MBP i7 15" (first got sent back as the 'c' key didn't work properly.

And I was delighted to find my replacement has some dents on the back:

Might not look like much but when you've spent circa 2k on this............yeh........
 
Damage to the shell is unusual, but not unheard of. A friend pre-ordered a 17" MBP when they launched a few years back. Packaging was fine, however the laptop had a dent in the lid. Local Apple store ended up ordering the part and swapping the screen assembly over.
 
Damn dude, that is surely some bad luck there!

Just remind calm (easy to say) and ring them or go back into Store (if bought from there...).
 
Just rang them, I got offered £70 to keep this one or replace it. I originally went for the money, but then changed my mind lol!

Third time lucky!!!

I'm glad you posted your setup. I have that carpet on order and was unsure what it'd look like with a dark wood desk. Answer? win :)

I could do. Not sure exactly where it would fit though, as i'd still like easy access to the plugs. My biggest worry is it being a slight fire hazard, maybe?

Shockingly, I am single :D

I often have friends round and we work on projects together, so it's a nice place for us all to be.
