Hi guys.

Thought it is time to show everyone what your dinner looked like!

For the first time ever at Xmas we sat on the sofa and ate (the reason is because I'm moving house in 2 days and our house is upside down)

Anyway here is my starter.

Chicken strips left soaking is fresh lemon juice over night on a bed of lettuce and crutons and parasan cheese shaving sprinkled on top with a dash of ceasar salad dressing.

Main course was the usual turkey roast, roast beef, pigs in blankets, carrots, broccohi, roast spuds, roast onion, asparagus, roasted carrots, stuffing, 2 home made yorkies, mint sauce and apple sauce (I had a large portion)

I have to say that looks lovely (bottom pic), the pork looks perfect :D

No pics for me I'm afraid already eaten it - we had Turkey + Beef, only thing missing was the pigs in blankets (poor I know, mums fault!), was absolutely awesome.

I already posted my dinner plate in the Now Eating thread. Was a turkey dinner. Much smaller portion that the one above, but it was more than enough for me.

I took the pic before I poured the gravy on, here is my end pic.

ALSO SPROUTS ARE THE GOD DAMN BEST!

I always find it odd having a starter with christmas dinner myself.

Wish I'd gotten a picture or two because it was particularly impressive this year.
Organic free range turkey stuffed with pork and chestnut stuffing, and an organic joint of pork, pigs in blankets, pork and chestnut stuffing balls (all meat from a high end butchery).
Goose fat and semolina spuds, braised red cabbage with pears, cauliflower cheese, carrots, sprouts roasted with bacon and chestnuts, mashed parsnip, fennel yorkshire puddings.
Fresh homemade bread sauce, cranberry sauce and gravy.
Prosseco or pinot noir wine choice.
Pudding was a christmas pudding I've been aging since june, mince pies made with year matured mincemeat and almond pastry, or an american style vanilla and raspberry cheesecake.
Then did a cheeseboard with espresso and a good port.

Cracking meal, it's one of those things, we don't do extravagant gifts, we do extravagant food instead.

I'd love to do a goose but I'd need to cook about 3 to do us lot and there wouldn't be much left over, and it's a push to do this lot with 2 ovens and 8 burners as it is.
