Mostly shopping/school runs and a few longer runs, its normally mid 50's if i take it to work

About 24-25 in the Focus ST at the moment.I am yet to take it on long motorway journey yet. Average speed is only about 20mph to.
 
I'm getting 30. Drive around town so stop start a lot. Only a 1.4 too. Not tried it on a run yet but will be suprised if I get over 40.

Aye, indeed, that's a shame. The M20's a bit of a sluggard to be hauling the 525i. I used to average around, if not over, 25 in my M50 engined 525i manual, up to and over 30 on a run.

A good service would probably help it a bit though, decent plugs, new cap and rotor, that kind of jazz. Probably cost as much as it's worth, though :D

Last 800 miles @ 57.1mpg, avg speed 38.2

Just to see what it could do, i reset it before travelling between sites today, 20 miles about 5 miles on A-roads the rest motorway at 60-70mph but a couple of stop/starts getting on & off gave me 77.4mpg @ 42mph avg.
