21-24mpg on LPG, dont do enough mileage for a comparative figure on petrol - '90 BMW 525i SE almost all town driving.

Not driven enthusiastically on local trips, no, 20-24mpg, but thats still not a huge difference, so yes, whats the point. Especially when the E90 330i has 272bhp!

Lincolnshire is relatively flat, I'm sure he could see for miles infront at the time he took that......

No trip comp but been doing some calculations at the pump and so far I'm managing 19-21mpg just doing inner city trips. Managed 31mpg once on a trip that involves 450km motorway. It's a 3.0 V6 so sounds about right I think.

Indeed - low 20's around town for a 330i

290PS and 500ft/lb make for a good drive, but I won't get into a petrol/diesel debate.

I get 30 MPG on the motorway in 6th gear at a constant speed, but mix in any other driving and the figure soon drops down.
