Show us your hookahs

I bought one of the split ones from hookahshop. The old one is just usable but is pretty smashed up. I guess that's what happens when you pull the hookah off of the table.
 
There used to be a bar in Reading called Go Na Na, it used to have these pipes on the tables, remember sitting there with a beer smoking on all sorts of tasty tobacco, and as a rolli smoker i appreciate tobacco a lot more. Good times... Then the smoking ban came in :( Put them out of business I think.

PardonTheWait - have you tried any of the Fantasia brand flavours? I love their Pink Lemonade, Blueberry and Margarita.

I made a shisha/hookah thread on here a couple of years ago, but it got locked because people started talking about weed.
 
Just come back from Olu Deniz Turkey where these were being smoked on the beach on beanbags at night, very chilled. I'm recreating the Olu Deniz beach experience in my back garden, Built the decking (instead of beach) starting pond (instead of sea), Bought 4 bean bags and an oil lamp back with me and now i'm really considering one of these accept i don't smoke, Would be good at BBQ's though

I haven't yet, all I've managed to get hold of so far is various AF and Nakhla, as well as Tangiers from the US. And some Hookah Hoookah but we won't talk about that!

Planning a US order sometime soon, was going to do it this month but decided I DEFINITELY needed a steering wheel for my Xbox :D

Going to get some lucid Tangiers (haven't had much luck getting normal Tangiers to acclimate), some Starbuzz, maybe some Fantasia as well. As well as some AF and Nakhla that I can't lay hands on here, very much wanting to try some Nakhla Mizo.
 
My favourites are:

Orange (Al Waha)
Mint (AlFakher)
Pink Lemonade (Fantasia)
Blueberry (Fantasia)
Margarita (Fantasia)
Rose (Afzal)
Apple (Nakhla)

I haven't had much of a chance to try out other flavours as after I've come home from Uni, I can't smoke at home. I often take my own tobacco to my local shisha cafe (Kingston) because they only stock AlFakher flavours, most of which I'm not too keen on.

:( I haven't broken a vase yet, not looking forward to it. Loads of charcoal burns in my sitting room carpet though!

I need to branch out and try more, that means a biggish US order though and I need more spare money for that which could be a while :/
 
What puts me off ordering from US is the delivery charge. I know its got to come quite a distance but god its expensive.

2nd Cracked whilst pouring the used water out god knows how.
Now on 3rd. and scared to use it now.

Anyone finding they are getting to many big bubbles out the stem? I was going to buy a diffuser. But instead I got 3 straws and poked them in the bottom.

Works a treat now
 
Big bubbles aren't a problem, doesn't matter how they get there, as long as it's flowing. I've got a couple of Heba diffusers on my KMs but it's only to quiet it down for when I'm watching a film or something. I like the rumble :cool:

Straws work pretty good as a diffuser though, I'd recommend the Hebas though, nice and convenient and make it much much quieter.

Straws work wonders... but I made my own diffuser by melting holes in a small plastic bottle and attaching it to the end of the stem.

Texas Hookah is a good place to order from the USA... and when I order I generally do a £75+ order.
 
The bubbles I was getting out mines were far to big to the point it was disrupting the water to much. Tried loads of different amounts of water but just never quite got it. Had a few bits of water in the end of my hose because of it.

I was going to try make a diffuser out of a widget but I have a big round thing welded to the end of the pipe so wouldnt fit. What the big round welded bit is for im screwed if I know
 
Hi all, looking for some recommendations on molasses.

I've only really had golden apple (come in a yello/gold box unsure of brand) always found it OK, but nothing special.

I've got a decent set that i bought in Egypt and carried all the way back. Flow is pretty decent, but have had to strategically place some blue-tak to keep the exit hose air tight.

Any recommendations appreciated.

Is this where the hose joins the Pipe?

If so look on Sites for new Grommets.

If so plenty here Pipe Grommets

Too much water if it's going in the pipe. Just put less in until it stops doing it - bear in mind as well that if give it a monster pull with no bowl/tobacco on it, you can pretty much always pull water into the hose.

Buying online you just can't find tobacco for them. It all tends to be under the table. Get yourself down to Edgware Road or Queensway and grab some, lots of shops down there do it. Nakhla and Al Fakher are the two most common ones, you might see a bit of Al Waha and so on. Stick with Nakhla and AF and you can't go far wrong. As for flavours, just get what you fancy. Can't go wrong with Double Apple, either brand is nice but I prefer nakhla. It puts some people on their arse though because the tobacco is unwashed.

What you bought in Egypt could have been lots of different brands but was quite likely to be Nakhla, it's an Egyptian brand and really popular over there.

Knowing the hoses that come with most pipes from Egypt, the hose itself is probably leaking.

I'll try and get a pic, but even with a grommet, it just doesn't sit perfectly.

I think I've tried some Nakhla before, or similar, when in Egypt. I couldn't feel my legs!!:eek: Was lovely stuff though, so smooth.

So Al Fakher is the stuff to get, anyone know any London shops that sell this? Preferably near Brick Lane, or Edgware Rd.
 
What hookah do you guys recommend for about £50?

I did have one that we got in Tunisia but it was badly made and there was a small air leak in the stem where it wasn't made properly. You had to suck like a cheap whore and that gave you more of a head rush than the actual tobacco, I ended up leaving it the old flat when we moved out.

I still have a ton of tobacco, coals and the like, just need the hookah itself.
