My history is XFX 550w Core Edition (Failed after a year), Evga Supernova G2 1000w (Started killing GPU's just under 3 years) and now on the RMA replacement with a Evga P2 1000w. I have a CX 750 between the G2 and P2 just as a backup and diagnostics which I now have in my spare box along with a HD 6670.

did they compensate for the broken GPUS's?

I didn't even ask. I returned both of the ones I brought to retailers, considering one of them was a Evga I really couldn't care less. I think I'd be hard pushed as I couldn't really proof it. I am only out of pocket for £30 postage and say £100 for a Reference R9 290 which I wanted to upgrade from anyway.
