Show Us Your Snow!

We had even more last night and it's snowing again now. We are way past the foot or so in the pictures i posted yesterday. We had to walk down to the village this morning and the snow was up past my knees. Really hard going too. The main roads are still clear though. More than can be said of our road onto the estate. On the plus side, Ben Rinnes, the mountain behind us, looks fantastic in between snow showers when you can actually see it.

Taken on Tuesday evening, there was a lot more snow then this before :) I'd say close to a foot.

This, is Timothy. And yes he's blocking the path in and out of our house :(. Slight oversight, but he was built at 4am.

Click for full res, taken on an Omnia for those interested, came out real good.

Well, a ridiculous amount of snow here. About a 8-10 inches deep everywhere. Spent this morning helping mentalists on the hill in cars. Yesterday built an igloo, but it had gone a bit funny today.. and didnt look as structurally safe as it was yesterday (we had 3 grown men standing on top of it!)

It was pretty bad by work this morning. I work right beside the old severn bridge and a lot of my colleagues were stuck at work this evening due to it's closure for falling ice!

Went to Dartmoor yesterday, we had great fun wondering around in the snow.

Then we made a snowman :)

Not quite as big as some on here but there was only two of us and the weather was starting to turn. (We had a few miles walk back to civilisation from here)

A lot of the snow on top of the tors had blown off, leaving the lee sides of the hills with nice deep drifts, we were walking over one without realising, and suddenly I ended up waist deep in snow. That's where we decided to make the snowman, although moving big lumps of snow around was interesting, when we picked them up, we sank again. :D

(Yeah I know I'm practically a week late but Plymouth has had no snow :()

Honeslty can't believe its started snowing here (staffordshire) again!

EDIT: ignore date.

grrrrr we had one lot of snow (granted 6-8inches) but ever since all its been is rain. I can drive 20miles north west and find lots of snow, south west, lots of snow, but here? none?

I was driving on the M42 near Solihull at 6pm today and it was the worst conditions I've ever driven. The road on the Motorway was white over so the lane markings were not visible, couple that with no lighting and heavy snow hitting the windscreen straight and it was pretty dangerous.

heavily snowing here in glasgow, had a bit of snow earlier in the week but not too much. If I remember I'll get some pics (assuming it snows all night too :O), it'll make walking up to school then to the gym later a pain in the rear! (Specially if I slip onto it :( )
