Edit: It gets worse!! he is installing IE7 on his main PC!!!

LOL, funnily enough I'd thought why no one had mentioned the straw :D

IE7 popped up when I was installing Windows updates?! Not sure why!

And the candle is there for Christmas decor :) Ask the gf...

Thankyou for the kind comments!

Don't like that TV Andy! Horrible! YUCKO! :p

:D

Having a problem with it mind, currently use VGA but only an un-official cable. I want to try component but can't get it to work with it, I reset all the display properties etc but the screen just remains black :(

Any ideas?

I know you prefer VGA but I'd like to compare the two. Meant to drop you a message on MSN yesterday.

Actually I always used Component on the TV until I got a HDMI Xbox360 (big difference on this TV), as I hated the effect VGA gave on the screen, it just never looked right, but again, it was an unofficial (Joytech) VGA cable.

I don't know why you're not getting an image through component, I never had a problem and it looked fantastic. For me it was sharper and more vibrant than the VGA connection (which seemed to have a white wash over it), though tweaking of settings helps.
I couldn't believe the difference HDMI made to it though, so that's what I use now, with Component as my second choice and VGA as my 3rd choice (though I use VGA over Component on my Dell 2405 monitor).

Have you tried another component cable? I remember reading here about someone who had a nadgered cable when he got his 360 and he was unable to get an image. It's possible your cable has gone.
Do you get a picture through composite?

Sweet dude!

Nice to see you got a proper HDTV now! :p I'll have to have a look at that TV, does seem an excellent price. Cheers!

Also, Nicking the Leopard Mac background. Tut tut tut! :p

Josh

I've just got the same LCD and am very impressed with it for use with the 360 and PC. Mines all hooked up to my media server now and I just need to get a media remote for it.

Not so impressed with the SD performance of the TV, and the backlight is a bit bright, but half the problem is the low quality of the original TV broadcast. You can't polish a turd, as they say :)

I'll get some photos of my setup taken tonight and post them up.

Much nicer background! ;):p

New console suits your setup better also!

Josh

EDIT - Didn't realise the 40GB PS3 had a Silver front bezel like the 60GB, though it was grey matte like the 20GB version.

Oh yeah it looks dead slick and dead shiny, I'm well glad it has the same front bezel strip thing the 20GB doesn't look right without it!
