Shower Head Pressure

I have an issue with my shower where by the boiler won't always kick in when I turn the mixer tap on. If i take the shower head off, and do the same, its fine and fires straightaway.

Could my shower head have too much volume or space in it causing the boiler to not know when its in use?

Bathroom taps are fine, boiler kicks in as I'd expect. It's rather annoying when you're in the shower and it goes cold

Do you have the flow restrictor installed?

Thermostatic valve is either in need of stripping down and being cleaned out or replaced.

The mixer isnt letting hot water through

Have you tried a different shower head / shower hose as it only seems to cut out when shower head is on? And as you say - the other taps fine
