Shucking External Drives

I need to expand my Plex server on the cheap and shucking seems like the way to go, are all Western Digital drives SATA inside or do some have a USB interface soldered to them?

The 3.5" disks are all SATA. Check out the 3.3v issue which may cause you an issue, but an easy fix.

Depending on what size drives you buy, it can be a bit of a lottery as to what you get in terms of Green/Red/Blue or white label drives.

Thanks, just taken a chance on a Amazon warehouse 6tb at £87.

I'm fully expecting someone to have swapped the drive out though!
