shut down timer?

does such a thing exist, like a sleep timer on a tv so i can set a certain period of time and then the computer will shut down automatically, anyone know?

you can shedule a batch file to run at a given time with a "shutdown" command.

run shutdown /? to get all the arguments.

I'd personally just make a scheduled task with the batch file, no need for installing anything that way.

All the suggested ways should work though.

run
> shutdown -f -s -t 0

as a schedule task, in the Settings tab, under Idle Time ...
