I am fairly certain that the 4 vantec stealth fans I have had for 3 years now are the key culprits in generating the noise in my system.

What 80mm fans would be better for me as these are driving me to deafness.. My case only supports 80mm fans

Instead of investing in more 80mm fans get a new case with 120mm fans. Massive difference in both noise and airflow.

Sure but a new lian li/silverstone case would be circa £100 would it not while 4 fans would be around 20 quid.

Sharkoon 1000 80mm would be my choice, i have the 120mm version of these and i can't even hear them! :cool:

Or a LianLi PC7 for around £50 or an Antec 300 for £35. Both use 120mm fans. May as well get with the times

I have one of those Vantec Stealth fans (92mm version) in my old PC and they are far from stealth. Luckily I have it on a fan controller. I can't imagine running it on full 24/7.

I'd agree with others, just buy a decent case with 120mm fans.
I've just bought a Lian Li PC-A09B case for £60 new. It has 120mm fans, is very well built with excellent airflow, and it's good looking.
