Shutdown Timer I Made

Just curious is there a standalone client option? I personally love utils that don't require to be installed and are portable - this is something that'd be extremely useful if it could be portable like that :) My fav utils (startup control panel / spacesniffer) have always been no-installs to work :) Keep up the good work mate it looks fab.

Hi,

Yes the application is available as a portable version from day one.

The current beta you see a few posts above is portable to run right now since I don't want Beta software installed.

But I can guarantee that the Final version of 3.0 will be portable.

Shutdown Timer 3.0.8 has been released.
Changes are:

- Information button on the new update notification now works and will tell you more about the update you will download
- The design of the different categories have changed, they are now labelled "ENABLE" instead of the older "Activate" also they have been tabbed
- Fixed the problem when going on the feedback area that the action box was interrupting it
- CPU Usage Value crashed when removing the value, this problem has been fixed.
- Improved Start Up Time

Download & Information

Just downloaded the new one and got this error as I opened for the first time. Otherwise it's working fine :)

It's the 3.1 beta from post 152. Loads the main screen then Windows returns the stop responding error with the info in my previous post.
It seems to have a mac folder included (that just because you use a mac?) I go to the x86 folder and run the Shutdown Timer.exe file.

It was just packaged on my mac. the gay things the mac os decides to leave behind really does bug me!

I've just given it a try on two 32 bit systems and also on a clean install virtual machine and seems to work fine.

Does a config.ini file get created? If not just download this one and place it in the same directory as Shutdown Timer.exe
http://sinvise.net/debug/config.ini

Also make sure there is a file called portable in the same folder as the SHutdown Timer.exe

Config is created and portable is there.
Thinking about it now it might be my PC being dodgy, the SSD I have in it was originally installed in my desktop then transferred to my netbook without re-installing. I need to do a clean install in the next week or so anyway. If you want me to do any more troubleshooting just let me know, but prob best to wait until i re-install and I'll test it again in case I'm wasting your time.

Well it's something I can look into anyway since your other apps work mine should too. But it could be something to do with the setup you have. I'll wait for other testers to let me know.

Thanks for your time.
