Shuttle Watercooling

I am just collecting parts to start my Shuttle watercooling project and would like some advice regarding radiators.

Due to the size of the Shuttle all the radiators are going to be squeezed in tight spots.

Is it better to have a 120mm with a off centre 92mm fan or a 92mm rad with a 92mm fan?

Do you think a single 80mm rad and a 92mm or 120mm Rad will suffice?

the size of the rad is dependant really on the components that you wish to cool, so if you could tel us what you are aiming to cool we could help you better, i would personally go for a 12omm rad tho over the other 2
 
Sorry, it was rather vague, here's a more precise outline:

The proposed watercooling loop is for my E6700, chipset and 2 1950XTX's in Crossfire. I have a Swiftech Apogee GT for the E6700, a MCW30 for the Chipset and 2 Aquagratix GPU/RAM blocks for the GFX cards. Current temps are high, the E6700 hits 73 degrees under Orthos at 3.4Ghz and GFX cards are much higher.

I'm planning on 2 radiators, a single 80mm tucked by the current CPU fan outlet and I have a space at the top where I can fit either a 92mm or 120mm rad. But I can't fit a 120mm rad and a 120mm fan.

So my question is would a 120mm rad with an off centre mounted 92mm fan offer better cooling than a 92mm rad with a 92mm fan. The 80mm rad stays in regardless.

The current options are:

Single 80mm near CPU (This can stay there for all options)
2 x 80mm at top of case with 2x80mm fans
1 x 120mm at top of case with 92mm fan
1 x 92mm at top of case with 92mm fan.

I hope thats a bit clearer, I am not looking for awesome cooling, just an improvement in temps.
 
I've seen somebody cooling an Athlon X2 and two Geforce 7900GTs with two/trhee 80mm radiators, who then switched to the single dual 70mm radiator in that rubbish Collermaster kit. And it works.

I think you'll probably struggle unless the 120mm rad is in there with the two ATi cards as they pump out a huge amount of heat.

It will be possible, but I think the main gain from such watercooling will be in noise reduction as much as anything else.
 
I personally wouldn't bother watercooling the chipset, its just adding unnecessary heat/restriction into the loop... :)
 
I would use a PA120.1 and cool the CPU only. There is a nice watercooled shuttle in the watercooling gallery...somewhere.
 
Haven't managed to find the Shuttle in the gallery, a few pic's have disappeared.

Ta, for the advice chaps, I'll ponder the chipset issue, would a small fan on the chipset be necessary or is passive cooling OK?

Another question if I may:

Would I be correct in saying a thick rad like a Thermochill has better cooling potential than the thinner ones?
