I've been thinking about purchasing one of these babys; Shuttle XPC SN25P Aluminium Barebones System - AMD 64 (Socket 939) (FS-045-SH).

Whats been holding me back is that its SATA and not SATA-II, well, everywhere apart from on OcUK!

The product description here states SATA-II. Is this correct? If so its the ideal solution for me!

Thanks.

Good bits of kit - I just got mine up and running on Sunday and I really like it ( just have to make it a little quieter

One thing I would suggest ( if you were planning on it ) is dont get a pioneer DVR 111 dvd burner - I had compatability issues with it and My 25P in that it was seen in the bios and powered up ok but wouldnt boot, changed to a different cable and changed the windows XP disc and still nowt, so put the original disc back in with the original cable with a different drive ( old nec 3540) and it worked first time

Anyone know if the 1800xt Sapphire card that is on special this week only will fit in the 25p?

I want to buy one but im unsure it will fit. Thanks.

Always better to search.... but here comes the spoon so open wide!
Yes it fits but you need to take the cpu fan duct out.

That's better, thanks very much :) Does that have any effect on cpu temps etc? Did you notice? Or shall i search on that ;)

SN26P is supplied without a fan duct so I doubt there will be any heat issues,

I also removed the fan duct to fit a 7800gtx in my previous SN25 and I could run a highly overclocked winchester[3000@288], an [email protected] and a 3200 Venice at 285HTT no probs.
