Shuttle...

Hi all, I just recently bought a shuttle case from a newspaper classified ad and it doesn't have a CPU cooler or a PSU unit. I'm not quite sure what the model of the shuttle is, but its a skt478 and can take up to 3.4ghz processors - I'm having problems getting hold of both the PSU and CPU cooling units that I need to get up and running. Can someone recommend any model names or products that I should be looking for? Thanks!

edit: The model of the Shuttle I bought is the SS51G...should make things a bit less vague!

Bit cheeky of the seller to sell it without these things.

The PSU should be easy, pop onto the popular auction website and get a shuttle 300W or 350W PSU.

The CPU cooler is a custom job, you might be lucky with the aforementioned website, or you could try shuttle, or some water cooling kits fit too.

true, but it had the motherboard I want, its a limited edition case and I got it for practically nothing - so this is the compromise. I'm trying to find a cooler on auction sites but I can't seem to find anything. I admit the PSU isn't too much of a problem but the cooler is a proper headache!

You could fit a standard cooler (probably) but you would have to get a separate fan to get the air out of the case.

yeah, I'm having problems finding the coolers tho - standard or otherwise. I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a company or someone who either makes or sells them. I have been looking at the Shuttle Heat-Pipe PH4, but I can't seem to find that anywhere either

will a tr2 478 cooler not do it, if it will the auction site has them, also some others i searched for 478 cooler

Have you tried the SFF forum on this board yet? There are some pretty knowledgeable people on there that use SFF machines and are more than likely going to know where you can get the cooler you want, or recommend an alternative.

I need something that is made for SFF/Shuttle PC's tho - I did look at standard 478 coolers, but because the PSU sits on top of everything I need it to be low profile
