si-120 vs xp-120

The XP-120 has by a degree or so ;)

As long as it's compatable with your motherboard i'd get that over the SI seeing as it's also a few quid cheaper.

The big typhoon should outperform the xp120 depending on fans used but if the same fan was used then the BT should be better. Depending on case airflow you may be better off with a ninja than the BT. I just upgraded my xp120 to a ninja

is the ninja much better than the xp-120?

Well, i had the XP-120 and the SI-120 and i found the SI-120 much better (I still have it). A lot also depends on the fan used. The good thing about the SI-120 is that it is compatable with almost all motherboards out there, unlike the XP-120.

Got an XP120 here cooling an opty 170, and now the AS5 has bedded in (and after I lapped the XP120's HS) it works great. It's very important to get the case airflow right with these big air coolers, none of them will work well if cramped in a poorly ventilated case.

which is the best cooler out of the TT BT the SI or XP 120s
You can't really say, because you could get a fan with more airflow than the one on the BT has, which will outperform it. Or you could get a 120mm fan with poor airflow in the XP-120 which would mean the BT whoops it. I think probably the BT is maybe slightly better as a heatsink.

the best quitest/performace ratio with a 7volted akasa LED fan

Get yourself a Panaflo L1a 120mm fan and 7v mod it, quieter than the Akasa ambers and pushed more air and probably at a higher pressure too.

no because they are to hard to get hold of and they dont have LEDs which is waht i want

Or you could do what i did and get the M1A fan and use a fan controller to get it down a bit in speed. It's really quiet but still pushes a lot of air :)

:) good idea - I really want to get my metal Papsts 120's from back home - they were 230V beasts hehe, used to run them at 5V on my heatercore. But the weight might snap the retention socket with a TT BT :)
