Sicario

Now we're coming to the end of the year, if I try and think of a favorite film this always pops straight into my head. However it's been a very strong year for movies.

I thought it was really good. BDT was menacing, the film was very tense at times and had a huge amount of atmosphere too. Better than TFA IMO. 8/10. Would have been a 9 but was a bit slow at times but that's what made the tense and atmospheric moments better.

I enjoyed it but didn't think it was great. Maybe I need to give it another go and alter my viewing habits since I'm finding nothing really grips me at the moment.

Dedicate a couple of hours to a film, put the phone and tablet in the other room etc.

Enjoyed the film however not sure about the FBI agents role.......only there to say oh you cant do that, oh that's not right all the time. As far as that characters role is concerned, a total waste of time for me. Didn't need her at all. Good film though apart from her

Awesome movie!

Easily the best I've seen this year.

Female FBI could be removed and I don't think I'd miss her. Not sure if it's the actress or the part.

I still don't understand why they didn't just bring her up on treason charges and 'disappear' her for
threatening to go public about a highly secret, and fully legal, CIA/Spec-Ops operation.

I found Sicario to be subtle which I appreciate in a film, but didn't really feel invested in what was happening. Only the scenes with Del Toro engaged me. I thought Emily Blunt was the weak point of the film - both her character and her acting. She spent a good portion of it smoking cigarettes and looking like she had never smoked one in her life.

I enjoyed the film, its one of the best that I've seen in a while. When watching it though I got the feeling that it was simmering ready to kick off big time, never came to fruition, in hindsight its not really that type of film. Think I need to give it another playthrough.
